Structures shall not cover more than forty (40) percent of the area of the lot on which they are situated. See also Larkspur Municipal Code Section 18.34.080, Preservation of Natural and Permeable Areas, for lots with an average slope of ten (10) percent or greater.

The maximum lot coverage shall be increased equivalent to the area in square feet, up to eight hundred (800) square feet, of one accessory dwelling unit (ADU) or junior accessory dwelling unit (JADU) constructed after July 1, 2023, that complies with requirements for ministerial approval under Larkspur Municipal Code Section 18.23.070. In the event that an ADU or JADU is modified so that it no longer complies with the requirements under Larkspur Municipal Code Section 18.23.070 or this section (e.g., removal of the kitchen) the property owner shall obtain any necessary permits to remove or legalize the additional lot coverage.
