The purpose of this chapter is to regulate signing for the protection of the health, safety and general welfare of Larkspur residents. Regulation of the size, number, location, design and illumination of signs is intended to eliminate hazards to and confusion of motorists and viewers in general; to protect and enhance property values; to protect and enhance the City’s unique character, its natural setting and its architecture; and to encourage sound signing practices as an aid to business and the provision of public information.
