Pursuant to the direction of the electors of the City of Larkspur given in an advisory election held upon the tenth day of April, 1956, in conjunction with the general municipal election of the same date, and pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Section 34851 Subdivision (a), a City Manager form of government was established for the City of Larkspur by Ordinance 233 effective on the first day of August, 1956.
