The removal of the City Manager shall be by resolution of the City Council carried by the affirmative vote of not less than three (3) members of the Council, subject, however, to the following provisions of Larkspur Municipal Code Sections 2.20.300 through 2.20.350. In the case of their intended removal by the City Council, the City Manager shall be furnished with written notice stating the City Council’s intention and the reason therefor, at least thirty (30) days before the effective date of their removal. The City Manager may request, and if so requested, the City Council shall grant the City Manager a hearing on the matter before the expiration of the thirty-day period.
