No person, firm or corporation shall erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert or demolish any building or structure, or cause the same to be done, or to do or cause to be done any plumbing or sanitary drainage work, or to do any wiring or install any fixed electrical equipment without first obtaining a permit for said work from the Building Department.
