A. “Handbill distributor” means any person engaged in the business for hire or gain of distributing commercial or noncommercial handbills, other than newspapers, and any person receiving compensation directly or indirectly for the distribution of such handbill; provided that no license fee is charged for the distribution of any noncommercial handbill, the principal purpose of which is to disseminate information relating to any political, economic, religious, philosophical, sociological or related subjects and not connected with any commercial enterprise.

B. The license fee is one hundred seventy-five dollars ($175.00) per year; or, at the option of the licensee, seven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) per day for each person so engaged. (Ord. 1030 § 2(4), 2018; Ord. 583 § 7, 1977; Ord. 265 § 72C (part), 1959)
